Chapter 635 635: A Lively Dinner

At noon, after Yukino had taken out the bedding to air under the sun, she drove to the company. Together with Ichin, they drove two cars and took everyone to a reserved private room at a restaurant for lunch.

Since they were already in Tokyo, they naturally had Japanese cuisine. However, Ichin didn't go for anything like kaiseki. That kind of meal felt boring to him, so he chose a restaurant they often visited, one with excellent taste.

After eating and drinking their fill, the afternoon was naturally reserved for resting properly before heading out to have fun the next day.

The two cars drove one after the other, returning to the villa area at around 1:30 PM, finally pulling into the front yard.

After parking and getting out, his cousin held her child and looked at the villa in front of her with wide eyes. "Isn't this house a bit too big?"

"But it's pretty great, isn't it?"

Ichin opened the trunk to take out the luggage and said with a smile, "Come on, let's go inside and take a look."

As they entered the house, the cats that had been lounging on the sofa all turned to look. None of them had expected so many people to arrive at once.

Peppa and George were fine. They still remembered Ichin's parents, so they jumped off the sofa and slowly walked over, rubbing against them in greeting.

Seeing this, the little child in his cousin's arms stretched out both hands. "Kitty!"

This left Peppa at a loss. He had never interacted with a human baby before.

After watching for a while, Ichin said, "Alright, let's go upstairs and take a look at the rooms. You can all rest well today."

The guest rooms on the second floor had been quickly prepared by Yukino that morning. The bedding was still outside airing, but everything else in the rooms had already been arranged.

After taking a full tour of the villa, his cousin said enviously, "This is such a nice house. Among all of us, Ichin, your career is probably the most successful."

"It's nothing much. The competition in this industry is quite intense. We have to keep producing good products. We can't just rely on past success," Ichin said with a smile. "Besides, isn't your husband's career going well too? You bought a house outright last year."

"That's true."

At the mention of her husband, his cousin looked quite proud. Their family was now financially comfortable, no longer under the same pressure as when they had just gotten married.

After arranging the three guest rooms and letting everyone rest, Ichin prepared to return to the company to continue working.

Picking up his car keys, he said to Utaha and Yukino, "In the afternoon, you two should go to the supermarket and buy some groceries. There's still a bit left at home, but definitely not enough."

The two nodded. Utaha smiled and said, "Leave it to us. Just focus on your work, Ichin."

After Ichin left, his cousin and her husband stayed upstairs to put their child to sleep. Ichin's father and uncle went for a walk around the villa area, while his mother stayed home chatting with Utaha and Yukino.

Back at the company, Ichin continued working on Bloodborne.

After sitting down in the programming department, Umiko rolled her chair over beside him and said with a light laugh, "Caught off guard, weren't you?"

"Of course. They just showed up without even calling," Ichin shrugged as he turned on his computer. "But it's not a big deal. With Utaha and Yukino at home, I don't need to worry too much. I can leave everything to them."

"That's true. In that case, come help us look into this part."

And just like that, Ichin was pulled into discussing development work with her.

Before he knew it, it was already time to get off work.

Seeing that it was nearly six o'clock and noticing a message from Utaha on his phone, Ichin quickly wrapped up his tasks and shut down his computer.

"Umiko, I'm heading back first. Tell everyone not to work overtime. Make sure they leave on time."

"Got it. Go on, head back."

After Ichin left, Nene, who had just come in, asked curiously, "Is he really in that much of a hurry?"

Umiko smiled. "Utaha messaged him that dinner's ready. Of course he can't keep his family waiting. Alright, let's get off work too. Call Hazuki and the others, let's go have barbecue."

"Oh! Barbecue!"

On Ichin's side, by the time he drove home, the last dish for dinner had just been finished and was being brought out by Yukino.

Seeing him enter, Yukino smiled. "Welcome back. Go change and wash your hands. Dinner's ready, and my sister is back too."

"Haruno got back pretty early today."

As he spoke, Ichin saw Haruno coming downstairs with his cousin, the two chatting happily.

Dinner began, and the house was truly packed tonight. Normally, there were only four of them, but today there were eleven people in total. It was lively and bustling.

Naturally, a large number of dishes had been prepared.

Ichin's mother said happily, "I was planning to help, but Utaha and Yukino took care of everything. They didn't even let us step into the kitchen."

Taking the chopsticks Utaha handed him, Ichin said with a smile, "You just arrived today, so resting in the afternoon was the right choice. And since Utaha and Yukino weren't busy today, it's fine to let them handle the cooking. As for you, Haruno, can't you learn from them? You're always freeloading."

Haruno, who had been about to start eating, immediately pulled a long face upon hearing that.

"So what if I freeload? Are you going to kick me out? Auntie, look at him!"

Ichin's mother immediately glared at him and said, "Haruno works very hard, you know. Stop teasing her. And wasn't she the one who arranged the house décor? Didn't she also help you find your company building?"

As she spoke, Haruno also made faces at Ichin from the side, leaving him completely helpless.

He shouldn't have teased her at a time like this.

During dinner, everyone chatted happily. They had a full week for this trip, so aside from touring around Tokyo, Ichin's mother also planned to take everyone to other places.

Ichin took a sip of soup and said, "If you're looking for fun places, you could go to Kyoto, or Chiba. If you want to go farther, Hokkaido is also a great choice. You can enjoy some seafood there."

There were indeed plenty of places to visit.

Ichin's mother smiled. "No need to rush. We can plan it slowly after dinner. Utaha, Yukino, do you want to come along with us?"

Utaha and Yukino exchanged a glance, then nodded together.
